Leftover Experiment X

LEFTover – Experiment X is an interdisciplinary project that successfully combines dance, theater and music. It celebrates the encounter of sound, word and movement and pushes it to the unexpected by using improvisation as its conductor. Inspired by the “zero waist mindset” the four artists (two dancers, one musician and one actress) collect fragments of their previous works as well as materials that have never been in the spotlight and play with them without rehearsal, transforming them to find new unfoldings and meanings. LEFTover takes place in the moment of the event, in front of the audience (either live or live-streamed), in close dialog with the environment, its architecture and social vocation.. One edition is never the same as another. It is an experience in dealing with beauty, uncertainty, thrill and immersion in the unknown!

It’s flexible, adaptable and unpredictable nature makes it unique. Created during the Corona period, it is not a coincidence that it is at the same time an exploration of the artistic challenges and technical possibilities for the implementation of live streamed performance art in such an extraordinary period, as well as performative research, training and stage experience.
Editions #8, #9, #X and #10 were also able to take place in the presence of live audiences, thanks to the relaxation of the Corona measures.
